Digital Consulting

I was engaged in an advisory role over Intex’s planned website replatforming. The stated goal was to create an online shopping solution that could fully integrate with the company's ERP system. After assessing their requirements, my recommendation was to go with a Magento based eCommerce solution, a platform that is open source, customizable and would easily integrate with their ERP system. Intex is currently developing their new Magento website with a digital agency.

Internet Marketing & Social Media

Having only recently started using social media, I advised Intex on social media best practices and engagement strategies. With respect to Internet Marketing, I assisted with the internal changeover of their EDM system to Mailchimp. Since the transition to Mailchimp, Intex has enjoyed significant sales increases with their regular EDM campaigns, being able to execute campaigns quicker with a more targeted focus due to list segmentation.

Wordpress Consulting

Having parted ways with the agency that initially developed their existing WordPress website, I was brought in to analyse the site and make modifications that would enable the current marketing team to maintain the site more easily. I made the necessary adjustments in the backend and trained the appropriate staff on what was to be done to modify the site going forward.

I also found some significant security vulnerabilities in the existing site and made the appropriate changes to ensure the existing site would remain secure while their new site was being developed.

Video Production

I built a logo sting for a web ad that Intex was developing, along with helping with post production. I was also employed to run in-house training on Adobe Premiere Pro, to enable staff to be able to produce videos internally.
